I’m a graduate student earning my master’s in library science, and everyone asks me, “Why are you doing that? Libraries are going extinct because of e-readers!” Obviously, I don’t agree, but I’m curious - what’s your opinion on libraries today and in the future, and do you own an e-reader?

Today I read my short story “Kissing Han Solo” to high school English students.
Their teacher told me later that one of her students asked me if I read John Green. She said, “Her writing reminds me of John. If John was a girl.”
Next to my wedding day, this may be the happiest day of my life.

Yes!!!
For the first time in my life I am dieting in a healthy, responsible way and I am now down 2 dress sizes since January 1.
I am still not pleased with how I look, and based on my history, I doubt I’ll ever TRULY be, but this is a HUGE step for me.
No starvation. No obsessive calorie counting. No binging & purging. Just smart choices (most of the time) and moderate, not insane, exercise.
